Beginners without any shotgun experience are welcome to
nominate for our 'Birds Only' squads on Wednesday nights starting from
17:00. A firearms instructor will take you and your squad out to
the traps for the duration of the event. The instructor will
provide coaching assistance focusing on club best practices, shooting
etiquette and mandatory safety procedures (strictly enforced).
Gun hire, hearing protection
and ammunition is available for purchase on request at the
administration counter in the club house. A drivers license (or
equivalent photo ID) is required to be surrendered for the duration of
the shoot. Surplus ammunition is to be surrendered at the end of
the round.
To transition into club
membership - shooters are required to possess a valid firearms
license, join the
Sporting
Shooters Association of Australia
(SSAA) and apply for a club membership. To
progress into competition shooting, additionally join the Australian
Clay Target Association.
